Steps to use Copilot in Power Automate:
1. Launching Copilot in Power Automate
Start by accessing the Power Automate platform. If you’re new, sign in using your Microsoft credentials. Once inside, look for the Copilot feature, depending on your setup, you might need to enable certain options or updates to see it.
2. Clarifying Your Automation Goals
Before diving in, take a moment to define what you want to automate. Whether it’s sending notifications or managing data across systems, having a clear goal helps Copilot understand and build the right flow for you.
3. Using Natural Language to Create Flows
Now comes the magic, just describe your task in plain English. For instance, you might say, “Set up a flow that emails me when a new item is added to my SharePoint list.” Copilot interprets your request and begins crafting the automation.
4. Reviewing and Fine-Tuning the Flow
Once Copilot generates the flow, review it to ensure it aligns with your needs. You can easily tweak steps or add conditions using natural language, making adjustments quick and intuitive.
5. Testing and Going Live
Before I hit publish on any flow, I always run a few tests to make sure everything’s working as expected. Thankfully, Power Automate comes with built-in testing tools that make this super easy. Once I’m confident the flow behaves the way I want, I deploy it—and just like that, automation takes over.
6. Keeping Your Flows Up to Date
As your processes evolve, so can your flows. Simply tell Copilot what changes you need, whether it’s adding new steps or modifying conditions, and it will update your automation accordingly.

You just describe what kind of interaction you want, and it suggests topics, trigger phrases, messages, and even the logic behind the conversation. What’s even cooler? These bots can pull info from your internal SharePoint, intranet, or even external websites—just by giving Copilot a URL. It’s like having a smart assistant that builds another smart assistant for you.

Copilot in Power Pages truly transforms how you build websites. If the thought of creating secure, scalable, and personalized web pages has ever felt daunting, you’ll be glad to know that Copilot makes it much easier. Just describe what you want in simple words. Whether you’re generating content, designing forms, or creating bots, Copilot takes care of it smoothly.
